The ‘Wild Ideas’ project is a community-based cooperative of disadvantaged women based in Tiruvannamalai. These women are deeply motivated to stand on their own feet and find economic independence and have successfully done that despite their circumstances. The group makes 100% organic/natural, highly effective, hand made products. The company makes a wide range of totally natural, organic cleaning products, and is adding more products slowly, as they gain the capacity to. The women own the business themselves. More women come looking for work regularly, as they hear about Wild Ideas. It's an ideal job. The women set their own hours (so they can work around their family obligations), their own salary (so they can be paid fairly) and they work in a very supportive environment (very different from their home lives). Wild Ideas can use help to expand their operations, and employ more women.
